Ofcom publishes landline and mobile complaints data

Ofcom figures on complaints made about landline and mobile network providers have revealed Talk Talk and 3 attracted the most complaints.

In the landline market, TalkTalk generated 0.72 complaints per 1,000 customers, with Virgin picking up the least grievances, with just 0.16 complaints per 1,000 customers.

This is the sixth quarter in a row that the firms have attracted the most and least complaints respectively, however the number of issues reported with Talk Talk service did fall.

3UK generated 0.14 complaints per 1,000 customers in the mobile network category, making it the most complained-about provider.

O2 took the honour of being the firm that was complained about the least by disgruntled customers, with just 0.02 registered issues per 1,000 customers.

Ofcom, the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries, said it released the figures to provide useful information to consumers and to incentivise operators to improve their service.
