Mitel recognised as global leader in unified communications

Mitel has announced it has once again been recognised by Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications (UC) as a leader in real-time business, cloud and mobile communications.

Focusing on the worldwide UC, it is the second Gartner Magic Quadrant to recognise the efforts of Mitel in the last four months.

The company was recognised as a "Leader" by Gartner for the second consecutive year for its completeness of vision and ability to execute operations.

The firm is one of only three vendors to be included across all of Gartner's Magic Quadrant Reports on unified communications.

"Mitel has given us the ability to have low-cost intercom calling with our various locations so we are always in touch and on the same page. Mitel also allows a smooth transition of telephone services for our afterhours Triage Nurse Call Center and key features such as time-based call routing and call reporting for statistical data are helpful for our IT help desk staff," said Katie Goutoufas, support centre manager for Temple Terrace, a Florida-based Chapters Health System.

Rich McBee, president and chief executive officer of Mitel, said that despite the praise, the company was still focused on continuing to strengthen its offering by creating "the most seamless and intelligent pathway and tools" to help businesses communicate with their clients, partners and colleagues.

He added "Consistently being recognised by Gartner as a leader in helping companies communicate smarter and more effectively is a reflection of the trust we strive to earn across more than two billion business connections every business day."
