There has been plenty of speculation surrounding its release, but Samsung looks set to reveal more details for its Galaxy S7 smartphone.
Samsung announced back in November that it was to host its Unpacked event on February 21st, ahead of the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona, with many analysts and experts filling in the blanks and touting it as the platform that would see the new model unveiled
Speculation has been furthered by the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 were both unveiled in 2014 and 2015, respectively, and now rumours on social media appear to have confirmed a February 21st release for the S7.
The first picture to have apparently been leaked online appears to show a partially opened box with the slogan #TheNextGalaxy overlaid on top.
The next frame shows the same background image, but with the date Feb 21st, 2016 overlaid on top.
The origin of the images is not yet clear, but the implications suggest it has been leaked from the company itself.
As well as launching the Galaxy S7, the event is also likely to see the unveiling of the Galaxy S7 edge.
The news is sure to add to the host of rumours that are already circulating about the new device, with reports suggesting the model will feature a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, as well as an Exynos 8890 SoC or the Snapdragon 820 chipset.
