Samsung Galaxy SIII set for May release

Samsung Galaxy SIII set for May release

Samsung is set to reveal its new Galaxy phone at an event on May 3rd, with many experts suggesting that the much-awaited SIII will be unveiled.

The technology giant has begun sending out press invites to the event in London with the tagline of 'come and meet the next Galaxy'.

Despite not specifically mentioning the SIII within the invites, it is expected that the new smartphone will be the device that will be launched, as Samsung are looking to reduce the time gap between its US and European launch.

With previous models, UK business users were forced to wait six months for their new models.

Rumours suggest the SIII could include a larger screen of between 4.6 and 4.8 inches, a Super AMOLED display and an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The announcement is timed to coincide with the BlackBerry World Conference, as the two manufacturers look to do battle with their new devices.
