RIM promises six new devices in 2013

Research In Motion (RIM) has revealed that it will release six BlackBerry 10 devices this year.

According to Pocket-lint, the devices will be aimed at users across the board, with high, mid and entry-level markets being targeted by the firm.

RIM gave the tech website a look at two of the new smartphones that will hit the market after the launch of the new operating system in 2013.

The two devices reportedly included an all touch-screen model and a touch and QWERTY keyboard version, which will offer a similar experience to the popular BlackBerry Bold 9900.

RIM's touch-screen only device will have a 1280 x 720 pixel screen while the QWERTY smartphone will have a 720 x 720 pixel resolution interface.

Pocket-lint also revealed that the hardware has been finalised and is now in the testing phase within the company and with operators.

It is thought the devices, along with four others, will be hitting the UK market from the start of next year as the firm looks to regain its footing in the competitive market.
