RIM launches BlackBerry Mobile Fusion

Research in Motion (RIM) has launched its highly-anticipated BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, which provides its users with a mobile device management (MDM) solution.

The software is built on the security foundation established by the successful BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

According to the company, it will deliver "cost-efficient, secure, reliable and scalable solution that consolidates the management of smartphones and tablets running BlackBerry OS as well as Android and iOS".

Alan Panezic, vice president, enterprise product management and marketing at RIM, said that businesses are looking to RIM to solve the problem of managing a mix of mobile devices, as more people bring personal equipment to work.

"BlackBerry Mobile Fusion allows organisations to manage a mixed environment of devices in the most secure, simple, and cost efficient manner possible," he explained.

As well as providing unmatched functionality for BlackBerry devices, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion offers support for multiple devices per user and security and protection for lost or stolen devices through remote lock or wiping of corporate data.
