New leak offers further insight into upcoming BlackBerry Z30

BlackBerry users have been treated to a number of leaks relating to the alleged upcoming Z30 handset, which is due to enter the market in the coming months.

The images so far released do not appear to offer much in the way of groundbreaking information on the new device's capabilities, although there have already been plenty of rumours about the specifications it will have.

The latest round of pictures leaked by CrackBerry, suggests that the Z30 will feature a 5-inch super AMOLED display, along with 2GB of RAM and a dual-core processor.

The boost in display size is truly noticeable from the images that have so far emerged, showing the device alongside some of its slightly older siblings.

Its predecessors are predictably dwarfed by the new model, which will use its larger screen to fit in an extra row of apps on its homescreen.

The Z30 is also expected to be capable of running BlackBerry's brand new operating system 10.2.

Before the latest leak, a number of other features had already been confirmed, including an eight-megapixel camera, supported by an LED flash, and the abiltity to take high quality front-facing photos.

Rumours have also suggested that the phone's storage capacity could reach up to 16GB, while connectivity is expected to come in the form of micro USB and micro HDMI support.

Despite the leak of both pictures and basic information about the new device, BlackBerry is remaining tight-lipped about when it will be available for customers and companies alike.

However, analysts are expecting it to be out along with other models as part of the next range of BB10 handsets in time to coincide with the release of BlackBerry 10.2, which is expected to become available before the end of the year.

As well as new hardware, BlackBerry has also confirmed that it is to release its BlackBerry Messenger app for Android and iOS later this summer, meaning that it could be in for a busy quarter for the company.
