BlackBerry prepares to launch Mini Keyboard for PlayBook

BlackBerry is preparing to launch the Mini Keyboard for use with the PlayBook tablet.

The device provides users with a physical typing platform and will help them to construct longer pieces of work, such as word documents.

It will feature a touchpad to give a "full laptop experience", meaning that it is possible to choose between using gestures on the screen or the keyboard.

Impressively, the Mini Keyboard will be able to last for up to 30 days on a single charge, making it ideal for those on the move. When it comes to repowering, the accessory takes the same charger as the PlayBook itself.

The Mini Keyboard is also ideal for use as a case, providing extra protection for the PlayBook's screen.

The BlackBerry PlayBook has been praised for its Video Chat, Contacts and Mail features, helping workers stay in the loop whether they are in or out of the office.
