The more affordable version is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and has 1GB of RAM, it will be available with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage and runs off a 4,000mAh battery.

A seven-inch HD screen is one of the main selling points of the Nook HD, and the device weighs in at just 315g.

In comparison, the Nook HD+ has a larger full HD nine-inch display at 1,920×1,280 resolution with 256ppi. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM to handle the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

It will be available with either 16GB or 32GB of storage space.
