Apple continues growth despite businesses waiting for new iPhone release

Apple is continuing to attract new users to its iPhone 4S smartphone, despite many businesses deciding to wait for the release of the next-generation device.

The Cupertino-based firm has revealed that the number of iPhone users actually increased by 1.4 per cent in the US in the second quarter of the year.

These figures are somewhat surprising as it was thought that many people considering making the move to Apple smartphones for their personal and business use would wait for the much-anticipated release of the iPhone 5.

Apple is thought to be planning to launch its new smartphone later in the year, complete with a host of new features.

It is though that iOS 6 will come with a new feature allowing supported devices to connect to one another through Bluetooth 4.

The feature is expected to consume very little power and take just six milliseconds to pair devices, making the transfer of data and information a much quicker experience.

Apple's new smartphone is expected to boast a range of features that will see it make a huge leap forward.
