Arrow Business Communications does its bit to help the homeless

The St Vincent de Paul Society is dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage by providing direct practical assistance to anyone in need. St Vincent de Paul introduced Vinnie Packs three years ago and Arrow’s donations alone have resulted in 3,000 packs being distributed to people living on the streets.

Vinnie Packs contain socks, a hat, gloves, survival blanket, toothbrush and toothpaste and a pen. They provide some comfort against the cold winter weather to those sleeping rough and St Vincent de Paul now provides over 10,000 packs each year.

Arrow supports chosen charities by not only donating money but also seeking to involve our employees. Last year we raised over £18,000 for Movember with most of our male staff growing moustaches and our female staff providing encouragement and support.

Chris Russell, Chief Executive Officer of Arrow says, “Once again, Arrow’s staff rose to the challenge of assembling 1,000 Vinnie Packs and thanks to our experience of the previous two years, our production line was so efficient we finished in just over three hours. We actively seek to support charities that enable us to have a direct and practical involvement in their operation and in our local communities. St Vincent de Paul provides us with just this opportunity.”
