BlackBerry Torch 9800 User? Change these 2 settings!

Early user feedback on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 has indicated that there are a couple of default options which prove to be frustrating for a number of users, namely “How do I end calls by closing the slider” and “how do I stop it changing the input language”

To allow the slider to answer / end calls then go to “Options”, “Call Management”, “In-Call Settings” and set the Auto End Calls and Auto Answer Calls to Slide Close / Slide Open respectively. Then press the BlackBerry button and select save, and exit out of the menu.

To stop the device changing the input language then go to “Options”, “Typing & Input”, and under language switch change ‘Shortcut Keys’ to None. Then press the BlackBerry button and select save, and exit out of the menu, and then you can type away without any risk of the device expecting you to provide a foreign language input.
