Huawei and GE Digital, a software company for the industrial internet, have launched their new Industrial Cloud-based Predictive Maintenance Solution.
According to the companies, the new solution “seamlessly integrates Huawei's Edge Computing IoT (EC-IoT) with GE Digital's industrial internet cloud platform Predix to enable rapid end-to-end connectivity between industrial assets and cloud applications”. It will allow for the construction of information channels between industrial networks and an interconnection platform.
They said that this will allow for real-time machine health monitoring as well as data analysis and perception, and smart maintenance decision-making. It is intended to help manufacturers reduce their maintenance costs as well as prevent unplanned asset downtime. It is also hoped that the new solution will drive more innovation in products and services.

In the future, she said, Huawei and GE Digital will jointly accelerate the deployment of cloud-based industrial applications to enable the digital transformation of industries.
Harel Kodesh, chief technology officer at GE Digital, said that the industrial internet’s growth depends on the “cultivation of an ecosystem and a commitment to jointly build solutions to accelerate digital transformation for industry”.
He added that adopting the Industrial Cloud-based Predictive Maintenance Solution will allow companies to take advantage of the industrial internet and to see bigger gains in productivity.
